Make over

When we had our baby, we became the new owners of all kinds of second-hand stuff. Some of this included these 5 onesies. They have never been worn, but they came second-hand nonetheless.

They had writing on them such as "spoiled"

and "grandma magnet"
and some others: "princess," "2004," you know the deal. Now, while some people consider these cute, I'm not a fan of labeling my daughter as "spoiled," so last week, I taught myself crochet.

The end result?

Wait- weren't there 5?
Oh yes!

Toddler socks?

They might be more like 9 month socks. They aren't for Margaret- I took special care that the stripes lined up as best as I could so I could sell them on etsy. So they're going into my etsy stash along with some other stuff.

Meanwhile, I've started knitting Margaret a doll.

Friday Fill-ins

It's Friday again!
cross-posted on http://itsallaboutthehat.blogspot.com

1. Oh, I can't wait until I have a washer and dryer.

2. Key lime juice is the first thing I see when I open my refrigerator.

3. I never leave home without the diaper bag.

4. If I were a condiment, I would be mustard because it's so simple: mustard seed, vinegar, paprika.

5. Turning into the far lane and not using turn signals is really high up on my list of pet peeves.

6. The last thing I thought of before I went to bed was "I hope Margaret's cold disappears over night, poor girl!"

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to seeing my parents, tomorrow my plans include something involving my family-a museum, maybe? WallE? and Sunday, I want to be with my friends at church!

I have a FO that I haven't photographed yet. Look for it soon!

Ready and Willing

My freetime these past few weeks has been winding some yarn that a friend sold me to repurpose. This is just a portion.

I've started up my knittig needles again!
