Ravelry

I love ravelry. I've been reading a thread about pooling. It makes me want to buy variegated yarn!

In the meantime, I've finished a surprise project, so pictures won't be posted until that person gets it.

I'm working on another surprise.

And I'm knitting 10 breasts for a lady who is planning on teaching a breastfeeding class.

Hooray!

Friday Fill-ins

1. Dancing to the song "I Like to Move It, Move It" while in labor makes me give birth (it was playing at some point during my pushing stage at the end).

2. The last time I slept in I nearly slept 'til 9.

3. When I drive I make an effort to take advantage of going down hill.

4. I saw two grasshoppers standing by my front door.

5. Give me yarn, give me time, give me a party.

6. Next week I am looking forward to knitting some breasts for a lady who teaches classes in breastfeeding!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to having the house clean, tomorrow my plans include the farmer's market and Sunday, I want to sleep in!

Getting back on

Ok. Knitting. I've been knitting. Knitting knitting.

I'm currently finishing up a dress for someone's daughter who I met online in the UC forums. It'll be cute. Cute Cute Cute. If it turns out as great as I think it will, I'll be making one for Margaret!

I'm also working on a doll for Margaret (out of some beautiful organic cotton yarn!), but it's on hold for that dress.

I'm also going to the store to get some fun fur.

WHAT?!

Yeah. Fun Fur. I know, I know. Not a knitter's ideal yarn, but it's for a good cause. There's a little girl with leukemia- I think she's 2. And I want to make her one of these hats. It'll be purple. Oh man. I want a purple hair hat!

And I might be commissioned to make some breasts. There's a lady in the area who teaches about breastfeeding and she needs some knitted breasts. I love breastfeeding and I love knitting. This is going to be fun.

So conclusion? I'm in my groove again. In fact, our ward now has a yarn enrichment group: for knitting, crocheting, spinning.

And for those of you in Utah Valley that were at the SnB last night- I really would have gone, except it was my anniversary. Sorry!

Friday Fill-ins

X-posted here.

1. You know you're old when your favorite sitcoms are on "Nick at Nite".

2. My heart is divided between Project: Pigeon Hole and knitting.

3. A clean house and motivation is what I need RIGHT NOW!

4. I have felt the excitement, I have known the depths of anticipation (hey, it can run deep).

5. Gah, won't these people just be nice.

6. Apologize as soon as you can!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to Wall*E, tomorrow my plans include shaping up the house and Sunday, I want to knit knit knit and nap!

Do your own fill-ins!

So yeah. I do want to knit knit knit, but I can't seem to get my knitting groove on. I have many things on the needles, but barely any motivation.

Where do you all find your motivation?
Currently, some of my motivation is this blog- keeping it updated. And some comes from all your awesome knitting blogs. But sometimes it's less like motivation and more like guilt for not posting...
