FO: Shrug

The pattern is here. I'll get a pic from the front later.

I used Chunky Marble that I bought at Kamille's.

The pattern calls for worsted and I used chunky which affected my gauge: I didn't knit as much as I thought I needed to. This was great because I ran out of yarn and was able to finish it off without that extra.

Ran out of yarn? Doesn't Chunky Marble have like a crazy amount in a ball? Yes. But I used it for another project, which is sitting in "need to add ribbon and take a picture" land. Knitting is completed for that project. Since I spread my yarn over 2 projects, I found I had just enough.

Baby Sweater!

Here's a little hat and scarf and baby sweater that I made for my sister's baby.

First the hat and scarf, which is being sported by a candle.


The hat is just a 2x2 ribbed tube. Near the top, I used a yo/k2tog row to create eyelet holes. I then made an I-cord and threaded it through and tied it in a bow. The scarf is just a 2x2 ribbed scarf.


The sweater is the 5 Hour Baby Boy Sweater pattern.


The yarn I used is re-purposed yarn that I bought from a friend, so I don't know what it is exactly. I'm pretty sure it's Caron Simply Soft, though (worked at Michael's for a year in high school- I am well-rehearsed in big box yarn).
