Yarn: Lorna's Laces Bullfrogs and Butterflies in Glenwood (first color on that page)
I've never done a cowl before; I never really got the "point" of them. But I had NO IDEA how to use up this yarn. I bought it when we were in Monterey last summer. It looked pretty in the skein, and I wasn't sure if it would knit up well.
I chose this pattern because it used the right amount of yarn. That's it. Scientific, yes? The pattern makes use of slip stitches and breaks up any pooling that the colors might have done, which is great!
I'm not sure if I'm going to wear this. Right now it's just too warm for cowls. I might donate it to a good cause and sell it at a craft fari. I know there's an annual Christmas one here whereat the money is given to local women's shelters.
Now that project is done, I need a new out-and-about project. Oh how about this: (sneak peek!)
