Christmas Sewing

I did a little sewing for Christmas and thought I'd share it here.

Simple skirts for the kids. Isaac's favorite animal is the hippo, so he got a hippo skirt. And Margaret loves Pokemon right now, so she got a Pikachu skirt.

Classic gathered skirt pattern here.

And then we bought an Ikea unit to use as a dress up wardrobe. I made the curtain from some blue corduroy fabric with applique stars I bought from a thrift store.

That's it for sewing this year.

Bacon.

Pattern: Easy Knitted Bacon
Yarn: Peaches N Creme in Peppermint

The pattern for this has you changing yarn colors every other row, but when I looked at my yarn stash, I realized that this white and red variegated yarn would do the color changing for me, so I skipped that whole thing and just knit some garter rectangles. And now the kids have knitted bacon to cook in their play kitchen. Easy peasy!

Kicking Bag

I made this with the leftover skein from the acorn socks. It's just a bag. To put a baby in. I'll share a better picture once we have a baby to put in the bag.

Pattern: Kicking Bag for Babies
Yarn: Ty-Dy Socks Dots in Seafoam
