I've been knitting, but that's not what this post is about. Maybe this weekend I'll fill in with posts of my knitting since July.

But I got my Swapetition package yesterday! I was spoiled by Jan of Twinset!

I'm a big fan of the cowl she sent me. I knit myself a cowl a year and a half ago, but I lost it, so I've been cowl-less! Cowl-less no longer! And the red yarn is very bright and very much me. And earrings I'm going to wear today!

Goodness it's been a while!

Here's a dragon I made for a baby shower.

Pattern: Tarragon the Gentle Dragon
Yarn: Some acrylic we had around

I've done more, but I can't remember what! Check my Ravelry page. Also, my podcast, JABAK Podcast, will have more knitting content if you want to listen to me!

Birthday hat

Pattern: Cables and Tassels
Yarn: Bernat Chunky

Used up the whole skein- anything extra went into the tassels. Easy, quick, looks good. The purple is a little more red and less blue than these pics.

Owl Puff

Pattern: Owl Puffs
Yarn: some acrylic I had lying around

I made this little owl for a baby shower. It's cute. And easy. That's all.

Pattern: Boulder Belt
Yarn: Quince and Co. Sparrow

I got this yarn in a giveaway. I had only one skein, so I had to find a good pattern to use it all up for. I started this back after Linda was born. Now it's done! I made a size small because that's all the yarn I had. Luckily it fits.

FO: Choker

Pattern: Amelia
Yarn: some mercerized cotton I had sitting around. I don't remember what it was or where it's from.

I started this back when Linda was born. A year ago. It had been sitting in a basket waiting to be blocked for months and months. Before New Year's I decided to go through all my UFOs and finish some up before the end of the year.

With a button:

Problem: the cotton doesn't block well. It started rolling up after wearing it a few hours. I'm thinking of starching it to see if that makes it stay out. What do you think of that? Will starch work?
